Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Duration: Approximately 4-5 months with the potential for extension

Position Overview
Atlas Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a temporary full-time opportunity with one of our valued clients. This position is ideal for someone with payroll processing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Payroll Specialist will assist with payroll administration, employee record maintenance, payroll reconciliations, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Responsibilities

Collect, review, calculate, and enter employee timesheet information.

Review timesheets and payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
*
Validate and process payroll for executive leadership and contracted providers.
*
Coordinate payroll batch processing for each pay period.
*
Reconcile assigned payroll general ledger liability accounts.
*
Assist the Payroll Manager with legal payroll filings and benefit payment processing.
*
Enter payroll information for new employees.
*
Update employee records, including:
*
Employment status changes
*
Address and tax exemption updates
*
Department transfers
*
Job title changes
*
Direct deposit information
*
Payroll deductions
*
Salary adjustments
*
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive payroll and employee information.
*
Support the Payroll department with additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
*
High School Diploma or GED required.
*
1-3 years of payroll processing experience.
*
Experience using payroll software required; UKG experience is highly preferred.
*
Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*
Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
*
Strong communication and organizational skills.
*
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Candidates must be willing and able to meet the organization's employee health requirements after hire. Required immunizations and screenings include:

TB test (within the last year)

MMR vaccination
