This role is primarily for a hyperbaric technician. Bu this person will be cross-trained as a Aesthetic Assistant.
Hyperbaric Technologist Duties
We are seeking a to hire a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist or an MA to train to become a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist to join our team and provide exceptional patient care. The CHT will administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy under the supervision of the Hyperbaric Safety Officer and Physician, ensuring all procedures follow established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Safety
- Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy safely and effectively.
- Monitor patients during treatment, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Measure and record vitals. Document appropriately.
- Educate patients and families on benefits, risks, and safety guidelines.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
Chamber Operation & Maintenance
- Operate hyperbaric chambers and support systems according to protocols- will provide in-house training.
- Conduct daily equipment checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
- Ensure oxygen and air supply systems are fully operational.
- Restrict or remove hazardous materials or equipment from chambers.
- Stay up to date on all safety and operational protocols.
- Communicate any safety concerns or needs to Safety Officer, on-site NP and Physician.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate patient treatment records, diagnostic reports, and safety logs.
- Document daily treatments, wound care visits, and upload patient photos.
- Report adverse reactions to the Physician and assist with treatment adjustments.
Clinic Support
- Maintain a clean, organized environment, including laundry and supply inventory.
- Perform chart audits and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with patient orientation and answer treatment-related questions.
- Support other therapies within the clinic (IV, wound care, infusion, other requests as needed).
Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with the NP and Physician to review outcomes and protocols.
- Ensure all staff operating hyperbaric equipment are properly trained and qualified.
- Comply with infection control, safety standards, and occupational health policies.
- Participate in training sessions and maintain active certifications.
- Ability and willingness to take on new tasks that can include admin work or assistance, documentation creation, creative work, assisting other Providers, patient phone calls/texts/emails for marketing or follow-up etc.
Aesthetic Assistant/ MA Duties:
- Assist advanced nurse injector/ Nurse Practitioner
- Review medical charts to prepare provider for daily patients. Includes but not limited to: treatment history, treatment dates, product history, communication notes, consents history.
- Collect standardized photos of patients. Skill set must include being detail oriented.
- Greet and room patients and numb patients in order to maximize the provider’s schedule.
- Initiate basic patient interview to communicate to provider. This will help determine treatment needs and plan.
- Prep provider with patient concerns, today’s plan, chart look back information.
- Curating treatment notes in medical record. To include completing medical orders for review of the provider. Requires being detail oriented and time sensitive.
- Ability to pivot, multi-task and keep Provider on time and organized.
- Responsible for rebooking patients for next treatment. Requires maximizing schedule efficiency and utilizing revenue generating hours.
- Proficient in building patient invoices.
- Walk patient to checkout. Host checkout communication between staff and patient.
- Ability to check out a patient if needed.
- Be proficient in both Alle and Aspire platforms.
- Clean room after each patient, prepare procedure tray and stock rooms with daily supplies.
- Reconstitute Botox and Dysport.
- Responsible for patient follow-up care calls.
- Responsible for professional patient “look-back” and “look-ahead” calls to build re-bookings and retention to meet revenue goals.
- Responsible for taking and submitting patient before and afters for marketing.
- Responsible for requesting and tracking online reviews.
- Responsible for reviewing providers email for urgent matters and prioritizing providers response time.
- Responsible for reviewing the Providers schedule for time and revenue efficiency.
- Aid in retrieving and operating emergency medical equipment and medications.
- Must be creative minded and social media savvy- responsible for collecting social media content during treatments.
- Has an understanding of skincare and can provide basic recommendations and refer to staff accordingly.
- Has an understanding of all non-surgical services and can provide recommendations and cross-refer internally.
- Requires strong hospitality and relationship building skills.
- Must have high emotional intelligence (awareness of both self and patient),active listening and tailored messaging skills.
- Respond to all text messages within 30 mins of receiving,
- Be proficient in both IV, IM and venipuncture technique.
Qualifications
- MA Minimum
- Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) — we can provide that training.
- Current BLS/CPR and AED certification. Current Certification or past HBOT operation experience is a plus.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of hyperbaric medicine policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate patient-care approach.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Physically able to perform job tasks, including daily chamber pressurization.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday Daily; Full-Time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
