We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Mechanic with a strong understanding of machinery and electrical systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, dock doors, and other mechanical systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the ongoing maintenance, repair, and safe operation of all mechanical systems within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment, including:
- Forklifts
- Dock doors and levelers
- Conveyors and other mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components and systems related to warehouse equipment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and mechanics to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize operational disruptions.
- Assist with general mechanical tasks and projects around the warehouse as assigned.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Take on additional tasks and projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Work weekends and overtime as needed, based on business demands.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with forklifts, dock equipment, and warehouse automation is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
Pay: DOE
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, dust, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
