Overview
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and forward-thinking Estimator / Project Manager to join our construction team. In this diversified role, your job duties strongly contribute to the overall success of each project from start to finish. Excellent communication skills, knowledge in construction, and the ability to work well under pressure will be imperative to ensure all tasks are executed efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in both; helping us maintain and deliver high-quality results to our clients, as well as, comply with safety and industry standards we are committed to maintain. We are looking for a candidate with thorough knowledge of Xactimate and Microsoft. We offer a generous salary plus commission, paid holiday's, paid vacation, and a company vehicle.
Duties
- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets, including cost control measures and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, insurance companies, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets by coordinating with construction site teams and overseeing project schedules.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify material, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor project costs continuously, identify potential overruns early, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review contracts, scope revisions, and project documentation ensuring clarity and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating combined with strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in Xactimate and Microsoft.
- Solid understanding of construction estimating processes, cost control techniques, and pricing strategies.
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and safety standards.
- Excellent negotiation skills for securing contracts and managing vendor relationships effectively.
- Exceptional communication to provide the highest level of customer service to our clients
- Familiarity with construction management software, contracts administration, and project documentation practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Experience with Insurance Adjusters.
- A clean driving record and ability to pass a criminal background check.
Preferred but not required:
- IICRC certification in Fire, Water, and Mold restoration.
- HAAG certification for roofing.
- OSHA training and certification.
