Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant team at La Tolteca Joppa. In this key role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel valued and comfortable
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain wait lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about the restaurant’s offerings and wait times
- Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Support guest relations by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously, ensuring a memorable dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of food service operations and hospitality standards is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
