F&B Assistant Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Greets and communicates with all guests in a warm, courteous, and prompt manner and ensures all employees act in similar fashion
- Ensures prompt and courteous service
- Maintains an active floor presence and coordinates activities to provide an efficient and courteous dining environment
- Communicates clearly and efficiently to staff and acts based on observation and information received
- Monitors employees to ensure service provided is in accordance with service standards and corrects deficiencies
- Maintains health and regulatory standards and procedures and inspects and monitors cleanliness of restaurant
- Complies with safety and health code regulations
- Recruits, interviews, and hires staff
- Administers schedules, employee performance evaluations and coaching and counseling sessions as appropriate
- Delegates work and station assignments
- Understands financial reports and applies information in a timely and practical fashion
- Complies with and reinforces departmental uniform and grooming standards
- Completes alcohol awareness and food safety programs successfully within 30 days of hire
- Represents the restaurant with the utmost of professionalism
- Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by the Club Manager
F&B Assistant Manager Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Progressive experience within restaurants, hotel/resort environment
- Previous experience in recommending, serving and knowledge of fine wines and liquors
- Proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships
- Completes alcohol awareness and food safety programs successfully within 30 days of hire
- Valid Driver’s license to operate company vehicles
- Understanding of POS systems, payroll systems, and back-office computer systems
F&B Assistant Manager Critical Skills:
- Ability to read, understand and follow verbal/written instructions
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively
- Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission
- Ability to understand verbal and written direction in English
F&B Assistant Manager Physical Requirements:
- Standing and/or walking 75% of workday
- Lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching
- Working on a computer 25% of workday
