We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Personal Care Services Supervisor to oversee and support direct care staff in delivering high-quality services to clients. This role is responsible for ensuring staff compliance, performance, and adherence to care plans and agency standards.
The Supervisor will provide ongoing guidance, conduct on-site supervision, and promote excellence in client care.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client admissions, assessments, and intake processes
- Supervise and support Personal Support Specialists (PSS)
- Provide on-site supervision at least once every 30 days during the first three months of employment
- Observe staff while providing personal care services
- Document supervisory visits, including:
- Services observed
- Competency concerns
- Corrective action plans
- Client and/or representative feedback
- Complete annual employee performance evaluations
- Maintain accurate and compliant personnel records
- Ensure care plans and service plans are followed
- Coordinate with management, clients, and referral sources
- Support staff training and development
- Ensure compliance with agency policies and state requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
OR
- Completion of a Department-approved personal care services course with at least one year of experience
OR
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registration
OR
- A combination of at least five (5) years of education and/or experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with client intake and admissions
- Previous supervision of PSS or direct care staff
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally
Schedule
- Flexible schedule
- On-call or scheduled supervision as needed
- Occasional travel to client locations
