Position Overview: A Retail Gas Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas lines, appliances, and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of gas safety, technical expertise, and the ability to work in various environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain gas lines, pipes, and fittings.
- Inspect and test gas appliances and systems for leaks, malfunctions, and safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve gas-related issues in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform routine maintenance on gas equipment, including cleaning and adjustments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of work performed to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up to date on industry standards.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Must have 1 year of Gas residential installer experience.
- Must have a Valid Driver's license and clean MVR report.
- Must possess the ability to own and use power tools to effectively execute plumbing jobs
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
- Ability to lift objects safely over 50 pounds, climbing, standing and kneeling.
- Ability to wear company approved personal protection equipment per local, state, federal or OSHA regulations.
- Valid gas technician license or certification (where required).
- Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
