Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store, ensuring every customer receives exceptional service while efficiently handling sales transactions. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Manage cash register operations with precision, including cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and recommend additional items through upselling techniques
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store’s merchandising standards are maintained
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer questions or inquiries over the phone
- Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as needed
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members while fostering a positive store environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and performing retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly phone etiquette and customer interaction
- Supervising experience is advantageous for candidates interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising principles, and sales techniques will support success in this role
