Program Summary:
Exodus Recovery, Inc is looking for Day and Night Shift staff for our new Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) located in Oceanside, CA. This will be the first PHF in San Diego County. The PHF is a 24-hour LPS designated facility that provides short-term inpatient care for adults 18 years and older who are experiencing acute psychiatric or dual diagnosis needs. The treatment philosophy at Exodus PHF is based on the premise that all individuals have the potential to rehabilitate and to make choices about their environments for living, learning, working and socializing. During an average length of stay of 5-7 days, the interdisciplinary treatment team will develop a plan of care in collaboration with the patient to address their specific needs, often focusing on symptom reduction and stabilization. Teams also prepare for discharge to appropriate community resources that can best meet the unique needs of the patient and improvement in overall wellness.

Job Summary:
The LVN/LPT, under the direction of the Program Director, is to assist in the oversite of all clinical and administrative activities for the Exodus Recovery PHF including development, implementation and compliance with established standards of care in accordance with all federal, state and local statutes. This LVN/LPT is responsible for providing direct and indirect services in a manner consistent with Rehabilitation and Recovery principles. Performs comprehensive screening and assessment (if within scope of practice) services to clients as well as providing education, crisis intervention, and medication services in collaboration with Exodus providers. The LVN/LPT also performs activities that may be carried out only by professional nursing personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited school commensurate with licensure in good standing.
- Minimum two (2) years clinical practice in psychiatric care with strong emphasis on working with severely mentally ill and dually diagnosed clients preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of assessment and crisis intervention skills. Ability to work independently and show mature judgment.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
- Current California Licensed VN or PT and current continuing education for maintenance of license.
- Current CPR Certification required
- Current non-violent crisis intervention certification preferred.
Commensurate with experience.
