Position Overview
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Term: School Year Only (Enjoy your evenings, weekends, holidays, and summers off!)
- Location: Winneconne High School
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and portioning of daily school lunches following standard recipes and safety guidelines.
- Set up serving lines and serve meals to high school students and staff with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and proper food storage.
- Collaborate effectively with the food service team to ensure lunch periods run smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience: Some previous cooking experience is required (experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting is a plus, but all solid cooking backgrounds will be considered).
- Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients accurately, and adhere to food safety/sanitation standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 30–40 lbs occasionally.
- Must pass a standard school district background check and physical.
