Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair appliance malfunctions, including HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and kitchen equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install, service, and maintain a variety of appliances and mechanical systems with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site repairs or equipment deliveries as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system manuals to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems such as air conditioning units, HVAC/R systems, and refrigeration to restore functionality promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to lead small projects or assist with construction-related tasks when required.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and internal clients regarding maintenance status or issues.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and appliances.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting procedures for complex mechanical systems.
- Experience operating equipment repair tools and performing appliance installation or repair tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of maintenance operations including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices.
- Construction experience is a plus for supporting building-related projects or upgrades.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely is preferred.
- Leadership qualities that enable effective teamwork and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
