Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in CT imaging
- Current ARRT (CT) certification and licensure required
- Knowledge of patient safety standards as directed by the Michigan Department of Public Health
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong patient care and communication abilities
- Experience with electronic/digital image storage and transfer preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up, monitor, and operate computerized tomography equipment per protocol
- Position patients safely; apply immobilization devices as needed
- Obtain patient history and confirm identification
- Prepare and administer IV contrast media as required
- Capture, transfer, and archive images for permanent records
- Maintain image quality and conduct equipment calibration and quality controls
- Monitor patients for reactions, provide emergency assistance
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked work environment
- Mentor and instruct new personnel
- Assist radiologists in specialized procedures
