We are looking to recruit a Senior Tax Manager to spearhead complex client engagements, enhance client relationships, drive business development, and support the growth of our New Jersey practice.
This role is designed for an accomplished public accounting tax professional who merges strong technical skills with effective client management, business development acumen, and leadership abilities.
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Managing Partner and firm leadership, overseeing and nurturing a team of managers, seniors, and staff. This position provides a clear trajectory toward partnership within an expanding national accounting firm, alongside the opportunity to engage in long-term incentive programs aligned with future firm growth.
### Key Responsibilities -
**Manage and Review**: Oversee complex tax engagements for businesses, partnerships, and individuals, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- **Strategic Tax Planning**: Deliver advanced tax structuring and planning advice to closely held entities, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
- **Client Relationship Building**: Cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with existing clientele and identify additional advisory and tax service opportunities within the current client portfolio.
- **Business Development**: Leverage professional networks, community participation, referrals, and prospective client interactions to foster new business opportunities.
- **Team Development**: Provide supervision, training, and mentorship to tax managers, seniors, and staff, while contributing to the technical and leadership growth of emerging professionals within the firm.
- **Support Firm Growth**: Collaborate with firm leadership on executing regional growth strategies and enhancing practice profitability.
- **Client Support**: Assist clients with transactions, entity restructuring, and multistate tax compliance.
- **Process Improvement**: Drive initiatives for process enhancements, technology integrations, and the adoption of best practices within the firm.
- **National Collaboration**: Support clients with multi-location operations and contribute to initiatives across the national platform.
### Qualifications
- Active CPA license - A minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment
- Expertise in managing and reviewing intricate tax engagements involving businesses, partnerships, and individuals
- Deep technical knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and multistate taxation
- Proven track record of managing senior-level client relationships
- Demonstrated success in new business development or the expansion of existing client relationships
- Experience in supervising and mentoring tax managers, seniors, and staff -
Must reside within commuting distance of Ramsey, New Jersey
