Job Summary
Garden Communities, a large and well-established real estate development and property management company, is seeking a professional and friendly Floating Leasing Agent to support several of our residential communities located in Springfield, Englewood, and Parsippany, NJ.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who is interested in starting or growing a career in property management. Prior leasing experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is professional, dependable, eager to learn, and enjoys working with people.
As a Floating Leasing Agent, you will be one of the first points of contact for prospective and current residents. You are the face of our communities, so professionalism, a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a polished appearance are important in this role.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet prospective residents and provide excellent customer service
- Conduct property tours and show available apartments
- Answer questions regarding apartment features, pricing, availability, and community amenities
- Assist with leasing paperwork, applications, and follow-up communication
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and resident inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Support leasing offices at multiple residential communities as needed
- Maintain a welcoming, professional, and organized leasing office environment
- Assist with resident relations and general office support
- Communicate professionally with property managers, leasing staff, and maintenance teams
- Represent the company and properties in a friendly, professional, and positive manner
- Follow Fair Housing guidelines and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Strong customer service experience required
- Prior leasing or property management experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be professional, friendly, positive, and dependable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Comfortable speaking with prospective residents and conducting apartment tours
- Must be able to dress professionally and represent the company in a polished manner
- Ability to travel between Springfield, Englewood, and Parsippany as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Must be reliable and punctual
