At this stage in our growth, we are expanding our retail management team and looking for new team members to work as Shift Supervisors. These individuals will manage store operations during their shifts and work with the store manager to help standardize retail processes, increase staff training, and raise the store's overall retail experience. The ideal candidate will love good food, and enjoy working with customers while leading fellow team members.

Job Overview
The Retail Shift Supervisor is a hands-on senior retail associate who is responsible for managing store operations during each shift and ensuring all team members provide excellent customer service and adhere to Atlantic Seafood quality standards and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise retail team members during each shift, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and all store policies and quality standards are maintained
- Ensure team members provide excellent customer service, and customer questions / complaints are handled professionally
- Ensure retail area is clean and organized, and daily or assigned cleaning tasks are completed
- Ensure all customer orders for the next day are properly filled, labeled and stored
- Ensure light kitchen duties are completed as assigned
- Supervise the proper recording of transactions in the POS system and perform daily cash drawer closing process
- Oversee staff taking of new customer orders and ensure accurate recording in system
- Assist Retail Manager in training of retail staff in Atlantic Seafood procedures and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding retail operations and customer needs
- Ensure shift staff compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper stocking of all retail display inventory
- Oversee the completion of all opening or closing store tasks.
- Properly secure building at closing.
- All other duties as assigned
Education Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent
- ServSafe Certification
Experience Requirements
- Previous supervisor level experience in food service, retail or customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills towards customers, staff members, and suppliers
- Strong team building skills with the ability to train and delegate
- Must be detail oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable regarding food safety standards and requirements
- Familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Office tools, and the ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to lift 20-40lbs and stand for several hours during shifts
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
