Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the property
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and quality control measures to ensure consistent service excellence
- Train, motivate, and evaluate team members in cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills
- Oversee laundry operations, ensuring timely processing of linens, towels, and guest clothing with attention to quality and efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold hygiene standards and address any deficiencies promptly
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens to optimize resource use and control costs
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality or commercial cleaning environments
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team
- Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, janitorial practices, laundry processes, and safety procedures
- Previous hotel or hospitality industry experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and inventory management systems is advantageous
