Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Electricians for a long-term commercial construction project in Columbus, OH. This is a year-long contract opportunity for skilled electricians with strong experience installing, bending, and running EMT conduit in commercial and industrial environments. Candidates must be able to work independently, read blueprints, and maintain high safety and quality standards on active construction sites. Typical responsibilities include EMT installation, conduit bending, wire pulling, and electrical device installation.
Responsibilities
- Install, bend, and secure EMT conduit according to project specifications and NEC requirements
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble conduit using hand and power tools
- Perform overhead, wall, and ceiling conduit installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics
- Pull wire and assist with electrical system installations
- Install electrical boxes, supports, strut, cable tray, and related infrastructure
- Mount and terminate electrical devices as needed
- Ensure all work meets NEC standards and site-specific safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet project schedules
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Strong EMT conduit bending and installation experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
- Experience working on commercial construction projects
- Familiarity with NEC codes and industry best practices
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (not required)
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to the job site daily
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders, and perform physical construction activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman-level electrical experience
- Experience with rigid conduit, cable tray, and commercial electrical rough-in
- Experience working in large-scale commercial or industrial facilities
