Di Edge Waterfront Bar & Kitchen is seeking an experienced, dependable, and skilled Chef to join our culinary team.
We are an upscale waterfront restaurant focused on quality food, consistency, presentation, and providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience.
Position Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Maintain consistent food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation
- Handle high-volume service efficiently while maintaining quality
- Properly prepare, cook, and plate proteins, seafood, appetizers, sides, and other menu items
- Complete prep work and maintain proper station organization
- Follow food safety, sanitation, storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and workstation
- Communicate effectively with management and other kitchen staff
- Assist with opening, closing, and kitchen prep responsibilities
- Work efficiently as part of a team during busy service periods
Requirements
- Previous professional restaurant kitchen experience is REQUIRED
- Experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
- Strong plating and presentation skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and safely perform normal kitchen duties
