Summary:
Start a hands-on career in Applied Behavior Analysis with Cook Children's. This full-time Program Specialist I role serves as primary caregiver for patients in our ABA programs (Behavior Disorders Clinic and Autism Services), delivering therapy protocols under BCBA direction, maintaining a safe environment, and helping manage challenging behaviors. You'll also take part in data collection, training, and close collaboration with the treatment team.
Certification is not required to start — RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification is provided within your first 6 months, with training and fees covered. Experience in ABA therapy, special education, or working with children with behavioral or developmental needs is strongly preferred.
Education/Experience:
- High school Diploma. Experience in ABA therapy settings or special education settings is strongly preferred. Pediatric experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Heartsaver CPR and CSC SCM training must be completed within 60 days of start date.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification is required within 6 months of start date (training and fees provided by the department).
