Childcare Center Director
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and organized Childcare Center Director to oversee the daily operations of our childcare program. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can support staff, maintain compliance, communicate professionally with families, and ensure children receive safe, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily center operations and classroom activities
- Maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Regulation (CCR) Minimum Standards
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and classroom coverage
- Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and supervise employees
- Maintain employee and children's records and required documentation
- Manage enrollment, tours, parent communication, and tuition-related administrative tasks
- Conduct staff observations and address performance or policy concerns
- Oversee incident, injury, behavior, and licensing documentation
- Ensure classrooms maintain appropriate ratios and supervision
- Coordinate staff training and professional development requirements
- Prepare for licensing, health, fire, and other regulatory inspections
- Assist with food program, purchasing, supplies, grants, and general administrative duties
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized environment for children, families, and staff
- Work closely with leadership to improve enrollment, staffing, program quality, and overall center operations
Qualifications
- Must meet Texas Child Care Regulation Director qualifications
- Previous childcare leadership or management experience preferred
- Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards and childcare licensing requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Comfortable using computers, email, scheduling systems, and basic office software
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Must be dependable and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced childcare environment
- Must successfully complete all required background checks, training, and employment requirements
