The Barnsider in Colonie is looking for experienced waitstaff to join our team. We have been in business for over 50 years. We are one of the few steak houses that still does everything ‘old school.’ Through years of refinement, the restaurant has developed an approach to customer service that offers the best service available. We call is the “team system.” Three waiters, working as a team, assigned to a specific number of tables, or section. Each has specific duties to perform.
Responsibilities
- Set tables to restaurant and sanitation standards
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Take drink and food orders. Suggestive selling of appetizers, sides and desserts type of attitude is preferred
- Answer questions and make recommendations when appropriate
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Have a positive attitude and appearance
- Issue bills and accept payment
