At the newly renovated Best Western Plus Elgin Chicago located in West Dundee, IL, we’re committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for every guest. Our Maintenance Team is essential to making that happen every day, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to step up and make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Perform scheduled maintenance on rooms and hotel equipment
- Handle general repairs (painting, carpentry, light electrical/plumbing)
- Quickly respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Maintain the hotel’s grounds, parking lot, and exterior areas
- Keep mechanical rooms and storage areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with shuttle transportation within an 8-mile radius (training provided)
- Midnight shuttle runs on weekends are required
- Work with outside vendors or contractors as needed
- Ensure all work meets brand, safety, and cleanliness standards
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 5 years of maintenance experience (hotel or commercial preferred)
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform active work
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required (required if assisting with shuttle duties)
- Must be available on weekends and holidays
- Comfortable with occasional late-night (midnight) shuttle runs
