Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. In this role, you will assist clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and clean living environment. The hours for this position are Tuesday and Thursday from 9AM-1PM
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, provide light housekeeping and transportation to community activities.
- Support clients with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Monitor patients’ health and report any changes in condition or behavior.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document daily activities, observations, and any incidents as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but not required at the time of application.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
