Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Owner Operator and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! As an owner operator, you'll leverage your expertise in commercial truck driving to navigate over-the-road routes, manage logistics cargo handling, and deliver hazardous or dangerous goods while adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Your proactive approach will ensure efficient load & unload operations, vehicle safety, and customer satisfaction on every journey.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks with manual transmission across long-distance OTR routes, ensuring compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, dangerous goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and roll-off containers with precision and care.
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining fuel efficiency.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary; secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for hazards related to hazardous materials or dangerous goods.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, inspection reports, and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues swiftly.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmission preferred.
- Proven delivery driving experience with knowledge of route driving and logistics cargo handling.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and automobile transportation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), DOT standards, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading.
- Ability to handle manual tasks involved in truck loading/unloading safely; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong navigation skills using GPS systems; ability to plan efficient OTR routes while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, hazard awareness, and compliance with all federal and state trucking laws.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $7,000.00 per week
