We need an experience Manual Toolmaker Machinist Technician who can perform set up calibrations, programming, and operations on a variety of machining equipment, in a semiconductor manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Manual Equipment: Set up and run conventional machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses.
- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Analyze complex engineering drawings and specifications to plan machining sequences and calculate dimensions.
- Inspect and Measure: Verify dimensions and surface integrity using precision tools like micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
- Troubleshoot and Fit: Assemble and hand-finish parts (filing, grinding, or lapping) to ensure proper fit, alignment, and operational performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or GED, vocational training a plus or completed industry apprenticeship in machining technology, or years of experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep mechanical aptitude with conventional machine operations and tight-tolerance hand-work.
- Math Skills: Strong applied shop mathematical aptitude for computing dimensions and tolerances.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for prolong periods, lift up to 40 pounds.
- Weekends: When it is required for production needs.
Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
