Job Description:
Holy Spirit Retirement Home is seeking motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide compassionate care and support to our residents. As a CNA, you will assist residents with daily activities, monitor their health status, and ensure their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a dedication to delivering high-quality care. Previous experience in elderly care or a similar role is highly valued.
All job offers are contingent upon passing a background check. If hired, orientation and onboarding will include a multi-day process involving training, physical testing, and department tours. The schedule for this process is Tue-Thurs 9:00am-2:00pm. Please anticipate this when accepting the job offer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health, behavior, or needs to nursing staff.
- Provide mobility support, repositioning, transferring, and assisting with walking.
- Ensure proper nutrition and hydration for residents, assisting with meals as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Provide respectful support with toileting and incontinence care.
- Engage residents in social activities and companionship to promote well-being.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures.
- Document care provided and report any concerns to supervisory staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by nursing or supervisory staff.
Requirements:
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Dependent Adult mandatory reporter certification.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist residents with mobility needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) or OnShift for documentation and scheduling.
Available Shifts:
- Hiring PT & FT for all shifts.
- All shifts require rotating weekends.
