Participate and assist clients in areas of treatment plan implementation as directed.

Identify needs not provided by the Haven staff and report them to the appropriate nurse/provider.

Provide individual assistance to patients with special mobility, withdrawal, or personal care needs, including taking vitals as assigned by the nurse on duty.

Work independently within scope of practice.

Maintain current BLS certification.

Effective use of technology and software including but not limited to computers, phones, email, EMR, etc.

Assist nursing staff with phone reception and other administrative unit needs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Six months experience in patient care setting (Preferred)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Current BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
You will provide direct and indirect medical and non-medical services in compliance with all applicable Texas state codes, policies, and procedures of hospitals. This role supports a medically staffed, acute care detox model and contributes to the cohesiveness and success of the unit with direct, respectful communication. On a daily basis, you will assist with intake tasks, including explaining and completing admission consent forms and inspecting and inventorying patient personal belongings. Duties also include observing and monitoring client behavior based on schedule, treatment plan interventions, and unit needs, as well as ensuring physical client safety and security by conducting regular unit and room checks.
