Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) – Night Shift
Location: Serenity Circle Residential Treatment Center
Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
Serenity Circle is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our night shift team. Night shift staff play a critical role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents during overnight hours.
This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong communication with the treatment team. The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, organized, and able to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support to residents throughout the night
- Conduct and document required resident observations and safety checks
- Monitor resident behavior and report concerns to appropriate staff
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in BestNotes
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident needs as required
- Perform medication administration duties if trained and authorized
- Communicate important resident updates and incidents to incoming staff and leadership
- Maintain facility safety, security, and cleanliness during overnight hours
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral concerns, and crisis situations
- Enforce program rules, expectations, and resident rights consistently
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, healthcare, or residential settings preferred
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable driving record required
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Current TB Test pre-hire
- Vaid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
