American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a top-50 heart and vascular center and academic teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of EP Lab clinical experience and CCI RCES/RCIS certification.

Work in an electrophysiology lab at a 748-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital ranked among the top 50 heart and vascular centers in the country

Procedures include cardiac electrophysiology studies, head-up-tilt tests, cardioversion, internal loop recorder implants, atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations, SVT ablations, VT ablations, device implants (Watchman, Aveir, pacemaker, defibrillator), and device explants/lead extractions

Average daily caseload of 18 cases

Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with 2 days of late case coverage per week

Charting in Cerner and GE Cardiolab; Pyxis used for medications
-
Required equipment experience includes Philips and/or Siemens X-ray machine and GE Micropacer
-
Preferred equipment experience includes 3D mapping systems (Biosense, Abbott/ESI), GE/Abbott EP4, ViewMate ultrasound, Siemens and GE ultrasound, and laser lead machine
-
No on-call, weekend, or floating requirements

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility should contact American Traveler regarding applicable pay rates

Minimum of 1 year of EP Lab clinical experience required

Active CCI RCES or RCIS certification required
-
Current ACLS and BLS required
-
ARRT certification and fluoroscopy permit preferred
-
Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and ablations in an EP Lab setting required
-
Experience with EKG in inpatient and outpatient settings, obtaining vitals, and identifying sinus node rhythms required

Cerner EMR experience required

Experience with groin closure devices, peripheral procedures, and laser lead extraction preferred

Experience in a trauma or children's hospital setting preferred
-
License required if applicable

Perform EP studies, ablations, device implants and explants, cardioversions, and other specialized cardiac procedures

Scrubs are provided by the facility
-
Flu vaccine required for all employees at this facility

First-time travelers with the required EP Lab experience will be considered

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration

A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
