Overview
Join our growing dental practice as a Dental Receptionist and play a key role in creating a positive patient experience. As the first point of contact, you will welcome patients, coordinate appointments, manage administrative tasks, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
- Manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix, a dental practice management software
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks
- Handle patient intake, including collecting medical history and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist in a clinical setting, dental office experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, CDT coding and insurance verification processes
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, specifically Dentrix, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills including 10-key typing for efficient data entry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks calmly and effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical billing procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
