We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Installer Assistant to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist with the preparation of job sites, including measuring, layout, and site cleanup
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision
- Aid in the installation of fixtures, cabinetry, and other surface components as needed
- Help with restoration projects involving water damage repair, floor care, and general remodeling
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or flooring installation is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, carpentry, or concrete finishing is advantageous
- Previous roles involving handyman tasks, construction painting, fixture installation or cabinet work are beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills
