GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting parts, supplies and materials between store locations, commercial customers and local vendors. This role supports daily store operations by ensuring timely, accurate deliveries and providing excellent customer service during all interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Safely operate company shuttle vehicles to transport parts, supplies and other materials between assigned NAPA store locations
· Pick up and deliver parts to commercial customers as needed, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
· Load and unload parts, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of all items
· Maintain a clean, organized shuttle vehicle and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
· Follow all company safety procedures and traffic laws
· Assist store teams with light warehouse tasks such as stocking, organizing or staging orders when shuttle routes are complete
· Communicate effectively with store managers and counter staff regarding delivery schedules, delays or issues
· Represent the organization in a professional manner at all times
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
· Strong reliability, punctuality and time-management skills
· Familiarity with local routes and surrounding areas is helpful
· Customer-service mindset with strong communication skills
· Ability to work independently and follow assigned schedules
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis (parts, batteries, cases of oil, etc.)
· Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a shuttle vehicle
· Ability to stand, bend, reach, twist and stoop when loading or unloading parts
· Ability to enter and exit the shuttle vehicle repeatedly throughout the shift
· Ability to grip, grasp and handle parts, tools and delivery materials safely
· Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely in varying weather and traffic conditions
· Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections, including checking tires, lights and fluid levels
· Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers in person and by phone
· Must be able to tolerate exposure to weather, including heat, cold, rain and snow during deliveries
