XRDS Recycling is seeking a Driver to join our team in Passaic County New Jersey.
Position Summary:
Drivers are responsible for driving tri-axle dump trucks to various locations and depositing material onto jobsites. Drivers will be assigned specific routes to take and a variety of load materials ranging from but not limited to dirt, stone, millings, asphalt, sand, and snow. Drivers will also be responsible for picking up material from other locations in the area. Drivers may be assigned commercial plow routes during winter mobths. Drivers MUST know how to drive 8 and 10 speed trucks.
Essential Functions:
- Drive a commercial vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Operate equipment as directed using knowledge of specific equipment and functions.
- Follow operating instructions on assigned equipment.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect material from assigned equipment.
- Perform pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle before and after trips are performed.
- Comply with safety rules and regulations (including use of safety equipment).
- Communicate with dispatch during work hours.
- Record delivery or pick up times using company tickets.
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 4 years expierence in driving tri-axle dumptrucks AND clean driving record.
- Ability to read, write and speak English is required. Bilingual speakers are encouraged to apply! Preferred skills include: basic math, basic computer skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to work in different types of weather conditions. Valid and up to date NJ medical card is required upon interview.
