Job Overview
Candid Color Systems seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our supply chain and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, warehousing, and distribution processes. Your expertise will drive process improvements, support demand planning, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory management processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400 to maintain accurate stock records.
- Conduct regular stock audits, root cause analysis of discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize purchasing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage supplier relationships for cost-effective sourcing.
- Utilize data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to analyze inventory trends, demand planning forecasts, and supply chain analytics for process improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners for shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling to ensure timely delivery and optimal stocking levels.
- Support category management initiatives by analyzing sales data and merchandising trends to refine inventory stocking strategies.
- Lead process improvement projects focused on reducing waste, enhancing warehouse distribution efficiency, and streamlining materials management workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and demand planning software like MRP systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts and sourcing strategies.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for inventory discrepancies.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate forklifts or other materials handling equipment with proper certification if applicable.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to logistics, pricing, and financial modeling.
