Job description:
We are looking for you to join our Drago's family as a Bartender/Server.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Take food and drink orders accurately using POS systems such as POSitouch, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen or bar staff
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including food handling and food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities accurately while processing payments swiftly and securely
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations effectively during busy hours
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that enhances guest experiences
- Ability to read, write and understand English. Must have ability to read menus and communicate with other team members
- Ability to lift, bend, squat, stand for long periods of time; carry up to 50lbs
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Louisiana ServSafe Alcohol Certification and East Baton Rouge Parish Bar Card required
