Under the guidance of the Franchisee, the Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that all projects are high quality and completed on time. In this role, you will lead and support the end-to-end production process of signage projects from the proof approved stage through final assembly and finishing. Responsibilities include performing production workflows involving a wide variety of substrates and equipment including— flatbed UV printer, Colex flatbed cutter/router, laminating, and roll to roll printers. Acts as supervisor for the production team. Takes initiative with a positive attitude and leads by example/mentoring. This role plays a critical part in transforming printed graphics into finished physical products.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the and support the production process from start to finish including ensuring that projects are produced with high quality standards throughout each step of the process. You must be comfortable identifying quality issues and working with the team to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Prioritize workflow; communicate to production staff daily; supervise the production process.
- Assign production tasks and coordinate labor as needed
- Communicate with other employees and customers in a calm and professional manner.
- Support continuous improvement of production workflows
- Review incoming orders released to Production for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure materials, equipment, and assets are prepared for each job
- Train employees on equipment, tools and efficiency-building methods.Use materials efficiently in a waste reducing manner for both substrates and time management.
- Manufacture signs using a variety of techniques including:
- Follow a layout to place computer cut vinyl or full color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.
- Prepare substrates for vinyl application. This may include cutting, laminating, cleaning and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application.
- Weed excess vinyl from computer cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl and complexity of image.
- Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting of printed pieces.
- Flatbed printing of single, multilayer, and ADA signage.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Operate and maintain printer’s and other production equipment.
- Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of all production areas.
- Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
- Perform installations at customer locations or other off-site locations as necessary.
- Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the franchisee.
- Help unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain storage areas.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
- Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
- Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high quality work.
- Manual hand dexterity required to operate printers, cutting, and folding and other machinery.
- Ability to use light power equipment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant sign or print industry experience - Required
- Software Knowledge - Adobe Illustrator, Onyx, Rasterlink, Fine Cut - preferred
- Adaptability: Seamlessly switches between tasks, machinery, and processes, ensuring efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical Thinking: Works independently with minimal supervision, solving complex problems where guidelines are limited.
- Precision & Focus: Performs detailed work with high concentration and accuracy, often under tight deadlines and demanding conditions.
- Initiative: Requires innovative thinking to improve processes and meet high production standards.
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
