Your Mission: As the Inventory Manager, you’ll ensure that our New Buffalo location is always stocked with the best products. You’ll manage inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and work closely with suppliers to ensure we have what our customers want. Your role is critical in making sure The Plug operates smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do:

Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure the store is well-stocked without overstocking. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies. Notify leadership and work collaboratively to resolve these discrepancies using appropriate software.

Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Collaborate with leadership to place orders, verify receiving inventory, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Product Management: Keep track of product performance and trends. Work with the team to introduce new products. Work with leadership to phase out underperforming items.

Compliance Whiz: Ensure all inventory practices comply with state and local regulations, including METRC reporting and documentation.

Data Management: Use inventory management software to track product movement, sales trends, and stock levels. Generate, analyze, and share reports with leadership to make informed decisions on pricing and promos.

Receiving & Stocking: Oversee the receiving process to ensure accurate counts and quality of delivered goods. Organize and stock products in an orderly manner.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to understand product demand and ensure customer needs are met. Provide training on inventory procedures as needed.

Loss Prevention: Implement and enforce strategies to minimize product loss, including theft prevention and spoilage control.

Customer Service: Occasionally assist customers with product inquiries and ensure that any inventory-related issues are resolved promptly. Work with vendors to address product issues.

Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve inventory processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What You’ll Need:

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role. Experience in the cannabis industry is highly preferred.

Organizational Skills: Impeccable organizational skills to manage inventory efficiently and accurately. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Attention to detail is a must.

Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management software, METRC, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Word).

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, team members, and customers.

Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of local and state cannabis retail laws and regulations, particularly those related to inventory management.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.

Customer Focus: A commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Age & ID: Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.

Background Check: Must pass all required background checks.

Competitive hourly wage based on experience ranging from $20-$22.
