Birth & Postpartum Doula (Independent Contractor)
Location: Roxbury, Dorchester, and Brockton, Massachusetts
Pay: $35.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and client assignments

All Birth Care is a growing nonprofit maternal health organization dedicated to improving maternal and infant health by providing compassionate, culturally responsive birth and postpartum doula services to families throughout Massachusetts.
We are currently seeking Birth Doulas, Postpartum Doulas, or Doulas who provide both services to support clients in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Brockton.

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate birth and/or postpartum doula support based on your training and experience.
- Offer emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period.
- Conduct prenatal and postpartum visits in clients' homes or other agreed-upon locations.
- Attend births in hospitals or birth centers as assigned.
- Educate families on pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and infant feeding.
- Assist clients in developing birth preferences and preparing for labor.
- Connect families with community resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate and timely client documentation.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare providers and the All Birth Care team.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Birth Doula and/or Postpartum Doula training program, or equivalent experience.
- Previous doula experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to client-centered care.
- Reliable transportation to travel to hospitals, birth centers, and client homes throughout your service area.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Haitian Creole, Spanish, Portuguese, or Cape Verdean Creole) is highly preferred.
- Experience working with Medicaid populations.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of community resources in Greater Boston and Brockton.
- Experience supporting culturally diverse families.

- Flexible
- On-call availability for birth clients, if applicable
- Some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required depending on client needs
Work Location: In the community throughout Roxbury, Dorchester, and Brockton, Massachusetts.
Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
