Job Summary
We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support inbound inspections and material control. This role is responsible for ensuring incoming products meet established quality standards for safety, workmanship, packaging, labeling, and documentation before they are approved for distribution.
What You'll Do Job Responsibilities
- Perform functional and visual inspections on incoming products using approved sampling plans and product-specific inspection checklists.
- Verify packaging integrity, unit and case pack quantities, product labeling, instruction manuals, and other required packaging components. Identify and report any discrepancies or missing items.
- Accurately record inspection results, including yields, defect codes, photos, supporting evidence, and material disposition using quality control systems.
- Identify, segregate, and properly label nonconforming materials.
- Support re-inspections and verify rework has been completed according to quality requirements before products are released.
- Promptly escalate quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Control Manager with clear documentation and supporting evidence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area while handling products carefully to prevent damage during the inspection process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in warehouse quality control, production inspection, or a similar hands-on quality assurance role. Experience with lighting or electrical products is preferred.
- Familiarity with inspection checklists, sampling plans, and basic measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, scales, and electrical testing tools (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify workmanship defects, packaging issues, and labeling discrepancies.
- Ability to accurately document inspection findings using written notes and photographs while following established procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and web-based systems, with the ability to learn new quality management software.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand or walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Experience performing inbound inspections in high-volume warehouse, distribution, or e-commerce environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of nonconforming material processes (MRB) and basic corrective action procedures is preferred.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 per hour

Assignment Length: This is an approximately 4-month temporary assignment. The duration of the assignment may be extended or shortened based on business needs and workload.
