$23–$25 per hour | 20–40 committed hours per week | Paid travel time and mileage

Are you an experienced New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide ready for more responsibility, greater variety, and a path toward healthcare operations?
BrightStar Care is hiring 2–3 experienced CHHAs for our Field Specialist career track. This field-first position combines hands-on client care with observation, communication, care-plan support, and project-based office assignments.
You will help clients directly while serving as the connection between what is happening in the home and how our entire care team responds. Your insight will help us strengthen care plans, improve coordination, and deliver better outcomes.
Over time, this role offers the opportunity to build experience in care planning, scheduling, AI-powered operational tools, and the administrative systems that support healthcare management.

What You’ll Do
- Provide personal care, companionship, and assistance with activities of daily living
- Transport clients to appointments when assigned
- Observe changes in client needs, routines, environment, and condition
- Communicate field observations promptly so care plans remain accurate and effective
- Serve as a reliable connection between clients, caregivers, nurses, and the office team
- Travel between cases throughout Bergen and Hudson Counties
- Work in private homes and other care settings, including Hospital at Home
- Respond promptly as client needs and assignments change throughout the day
- Clock in and out accurately for every shift
- Complete thorough, timely, and compliant client care notes independently
- Model strong documentation practices for other caregivers
- Complete assigned support projects between cases, such as delivering supplies, PPE kits, and plans of care
This Is a Field-First Role
Clients come first. Office assignments are project-based and help keep you prepared and productive between client needs.
Your daily destinations and assignments may change, but your mutually agreed number of weekly hours remains your commitment. You should be comfortable going where you are needed and energized by solving client-care requests as they arise.
Required Qualifications
Please apply only if you meet all of the following requirements:
- Active, valid New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide certificate (NJ CHHA)
- Current CPR certification that includes hands-on chest-compression training
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel between assignments
- At least 4 years of verifiable home health aide experience
- Availability to begin work at 8:00 or 9:00 AM
- Availability to work at least one weekend day each week
- Ability to commit to a fixed number of weekly hours while adapting to changing assignments
- Ability to use mobile systems to clock in and out and submit complete care notes independently
- Strong observation, communication, organization, and follow-through
Preferred: 7 or more years of verifiable home health aide experience.
