Job Summary
Kitchen Café & Catering is seeking an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our team. This position is focused on supporting our busy café operation by preparing high-quality food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and helping deliver a consistently excellent guest experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a cook looking for a stable, long-term position with consistent daytime hours. Our Line Cooks play an important role in the daily success of the café and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Schedule: Approximately 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM with no late nights, 3 - 4 days a week. Weekends off.
Duties
- Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Work a variety of stations including prep, grill, salad, assembly, and plating as needed
- Follow prep lists and production schedules to ensure timely execution of all food items
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Assist with daily food preparation for café service
- Receive, label, rotate, and properly store food deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory counts and communicate low-stock items to kitchen leadership
- Support kitchen leadership in maintaining organized walk-in, dry storage, and prep areas
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience preferred
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Current Food Handler Certification required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Available to work a regular schedule of approximately 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM on weekdays
