Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Wheel Alignments
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, suspension repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components following manufacturer specifications.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto electrical systems to ensure modern vehicle safety features are functioning correctly.
- Perform welding and auto body repairs when necessary to restore vehicle integrity and appearance.
- Read and interpret automotive schematics for complex repairs on GM vehicles or other makes; utilize automotive diagnostics for troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software; communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Dealership experience or equivalent is highly desirable; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, ADAS technology, diesel engine repair, and powertrain components.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to perform repairs efficiently.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on auto body repair when needed.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certifications or equivalent are preferred but not required. Pay: $900.00 - $1,250.00 per week
