Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging daily activities that promote childhood development, including educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor play.
- Provide attentive care for children’s basic needs such as feeding, diapering, and nap times while ensuring health and safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance in collaboration with specialists when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration.
- Monitor children’s behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster cooperation and social skills.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to, including first aid readiness and emergency response protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR to handle emergencies confidently.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to engage children through creative activities while maintaining safety standards.
