Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator Operator/Track Hoe Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically excavators and track hoes, to perform a variety of earth-moving tasks on construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure efficient project progress, safety, and precision in excavation activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of equipment and contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects.
Duties
- Operate excavators, track hoes, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, with precision and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify maintenance needs.
- Execute excavation tasks such as trenching, grading, and site preparation according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with team members to facilitate smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and operational reports.
- Support other construction activities including paving and site cleanup as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Prior construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating or transporting heavy machinery on public roads.
- Knowledge of construction materials and processes related to excavation, and site development.
