The User Experience (UX) Designer is the core role of the Experience Design unit.
-
They analyze, plan and sequence the interactions that a person has with software or application over time.

Working with research insights from the Human-centered design process, the UX Designer listens to the needs of our people and responds with design that delivers against our key criteria for good design: easy, clear, useful and pleasing.

Analyzes research findings and recommendations to plan and deliver Use Cases, User Journeys, User Flow Diagrams, Navigation Structures and Information Architecture in order to optimize the User -Experience of our digital properties.

In partnership with Product and Engineering team, shape products that advocate for user needs, delivers on business requirements, and contributes to a best-in-class seamless user experience throughout product discovery and development.

Designs for browsers, responsive web, native apps, smart watches, kiosks, web-connected health monitoring devices and other consumer and health interfaces and systems.

Creates and delivers Storyboards, Wireframes, Interface Modules and Pages, Prototypes and Design Specifications.

Evaluates designs according to project specific and enterprise standard metrics.

Understands and designs to meet WCAG 2.0 AA Accessibility Standard.

Collaborates with the Experience Design team to maintain, grow, implement and refine the Digital Design Language.

Facilitate Design Workshops and synthesizes divergent ideas into a cohesive Design Proposal.

Provides oversight of vendors that assist with Experience Design scope of work.
Scope:
This engagement is for an Accessibility Design Contractor to support four of seven product pods within the Digital Product Organization. The contractor will partner with product designers and engineers to review designs and implementations for WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, perform manual accessibility testing, support accessibility reviews within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), document findings, and help ensure accessibility standards are consistently applied across multiple teams. The contractor will report to the Lead Accessibility Designer and follow established accessibility standards, processes, and priorities.
Required:

Strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA

Experience reviewing designs and code for accessibility compliance
-
Manual accessibility testing experience using:
-
JAWS and NVDA (Windows/Web)
-
VoiceOver (iOS)
-
TalkBack (Android)
-
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including component-level authoring and content review
-
Experience using Figma for design review and annotations
-
Experience using Jira for defect tracking and workflow management
-
Ability to work independently across multiple product teams while partnering with designers and engineers
-
Experience documenting accessibility findings using established audit and Jira processes
Preferred:

Familiarity with the ARIA Authoring Practices Guide (APG)

Experience using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude, or similar) to improve accessibility workflows, documentation, or automation

Experience applying accessibility guidance within a design system

Experience with additional CMS platforms (Sitecore, Contentful, Drupal)

Experience contributing to AEM component libraries

Experience training or enabling content authors on accessible authoring practices

Experience contributing to accessibility standards, playbooks, or internal documentation
Required Skills & Experience:

5-7 years' experience in Design with demonstrated impact.
-
Understanding of the Human Centered Design (HCD) process.
-
Working knowledge of current User Experience methods.
-
Excellent visual communication skills, and refined ability to clarify complex problems.
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including confident presentation skills.
-
Excellent ability to design on behalf of people with serious and complex medical conditions.

Understands the working methods of colleagues in Experience Design such as Researchers and Engineering.

Can communicate clearly to a project or executive team.

Demonstrated use of an iterative design cycle method to refine products.

Demonstrated knowledge of design tools and platforms (Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, Mural, Invision etc.). -Experience working in Scrum Agile methodology to define User Stories as part of sprint planning.
Required Education:
