Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for order processing and payment handling.
- Manage cashier duties including cash handling, processing sales, issuing receipts, and balancing registers at the end of shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and upselling menu items to enhance sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations following food safety guidelines.
- Assist with food handling tasks such as bussing tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring quick service during busy hours.
- Support kitchen operations by managing time effectively to ensure timely food preparation and delivery in a quick service or fast food environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service setting such as a café, restaurant, or retail food environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous for smooth transaction processing.
- Culinary experience or basic cooking skills are beneficial for preparing quality menu items.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and sales transactions.
