Medical Imaging Field Service Engineer — Los Angeles, CA
Service and support diagnostic imaging equipment across the greater Los Angeles territory. You'll handle installs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and corrective repair on CT and MRI systems at hospitals and outpatient imaging centers.
The role
- Territory: Los Angeles metro, including Orange County and the Inland Empire
- Approximately 60% drive time; 1–2 overnights per month
- On-call rotation: one week in four
- Company vehicle, fuel card, laptop, and tools provided
What you'll do
- Diagnose and repair system faults to board and component level using OEM schematics, service software, and test equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations to OEM specification and keep systems in regulatory compliance
- Work directly with radiology and biomed staff on uptime, escalation, and repair timelines
- Document all service activity in the CMMS
What we're looking for
- 3+ years servicing diagnostic imaging equipment in the field
- OEM training on GE, Siemens, Philips, or Canon CT/MRI platforms preferred
- Strong electronics troubleshooting; comfortable reading schematics and using test equipment
- Associate degree in electronics or biomedical technology, military electronics training, or equivalent field experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Compensation
$105,000–$135,000 per year, depending on modality experience and OEM training, plus overtime and on-call pay. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and per diem for overnight travel.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
