Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients and residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury.
- Maintain aseptic technique during medical procedures like catheter care or wound dressing changes to prevent infection.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs through compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements.
- Assist with medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping for medical records and compliance.
- Participate in infection control protocols, including infectious disease care and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living, or home & community care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS).
- Hands-on experience with medical-surgical procedures, medication administration, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in medical documentation is preferred.
- Critical care experience or ICU background is highly desirable; experience in hospice or palliative care also valued.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health challenges; experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
