Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Commercial Electrical Technician to join our growing team. If you take pride in quality workmanship, work well independently and as part of a team, and have experience in commercial electrical installations and service, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and electrical equipment.
- Perform maintenance and service calls.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC and local electrical codes.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, team members and be able to work in occupied spaces.
Qualifications:
- Commercial electrical experience required.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently.
- Experience bending conduit and installing electrical raceways.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work from ladders and lifts.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Journeyman license is a plus but not required (if applicable)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and electrical diagnostics tools such as multi-meters.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics confidently.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems efficiently in both construction site environments and ongoing service settings.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures, renovation projects, and blueprint reading is preferred.
- Strong hand tool proficiency along with the ability to operate power tools safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in diagnosing issues within complex electrical systems.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local jurisdiction is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to obtain licensing.
- Must pass a drug test.
